Celebrity Mistakes
Filed under: SocietyWhy do they do it? Honestly, once they’ve broken up, do celebrities really think that their former halves will keep the nude pictures of them private? That they’d do the decent, moral thing and destroy any evidence of them? Hell no. You’re not together anymore, so unless you still have obligations to that person (be it kids, a cat, a Tamagotchi etc…) then nothing is sacred anymore.
I realise, that at the end of the day we’re all human; whether you make eight hundred an hour or eight pounds an hour. We’re all prone to mistakes and when we fall in love, we tend to trust our lovers (almost) explicitly. It’s easy to be intimate and sexy with one another in the privacy of your bedroom, but what happens when you can’t be with them?
Well plenty of people try to keep the magic alive over distances by texting each other naughty messages; some even go so far as to exchange racy photos or make videos. So why shouldn’t celebrities do it? Well there’s a very good reason for it…
When you’re a celebrity, you pretty much acknowledge the fact that you’re private life is going to be the keen interest of others; whether you like it or not. You also have to accept the fact that you are going to be analyzed and scrutinized within an inch of your life: suddenly you are expected to set an example to people you don’t even know.
On one hand, I feel a little sorry when celeb nude photos get leaked: imagine if you were them. The career you worked so hard to establish (we don’t count Paris Hilton – she doesn’t work or eat for that matter) is suddenly in jeopardy, everyone suddenly thinks you’re a skank (again, we don’t count Paris because she IS a skank) and the worst part; someone you loved and trusted betrayed you to the rest of the world.
However my sympathy has limits, especially if you’re a so called “teen celebrity”. Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus are prime examples. Neither are very talented (or remotely interesting) but are equally annoying (although, I dislike Miley a little bit more- at least Vanessa has cute taste in men). I mean what the fuck. You are Disney cash cows; small children watch your movies and look up to you. Seriously and people wonder why paedophilia is on the rise…
My suggestion to anyone who wants to be a little risky with photos/videos. Is, don’t do it. Unless you have absolute power/say over the evidence, then it’s really not worth the risk; whether you’re famous or not.
P.S. If it is too late and you’re naked body is all over the Internet already then;
- Mail the link to me so I can laugh at you
- Make like Skanky Hilton and fight till you get half of the profit
