Cat's top songs for 2010

I know we’re almost half way through January but I still wanted to make this list anyway. So here are some of the tracks that I loved in 2010. Yes I know there’s a lot of pop here and no, it’s not the only genre I listen to. Most of you will say that I have shit taste in music just because I’m not listening to some anonymous Indie shit like the “unique kids” do. Whatever: shit or not, these were the tunes that got me through the year.

1. Cee Lo Green – Fuck you – How can you not love this song!? It was the song of 2010 in my opinion.
2. Lady Ga Ga – Bad romance – Love or hate her, this song took the world by storm and those who claim they don’t like it are lying.
3. Eminem feat Rihanna – Love the way you lie – This duo shouldn’t have worked but it did. Who’d have thought?
4. Willow Smith – Whip my hair – Makes me want to whip mine every time I hear it.
5. B.O.B feat Hayley Williams – Airplanes – Stunning; Hayley Williams makes this song.
6. Tinie Tempah – Pass out – I know all the lyrics to this song. Sad but true.
7. Owl city – Fireflies – Quirky, magical song that makes me feel all warm inside.
8. Lady Ga Ga feat Beyonce – Telephone – Brilliant pop tune with a fun video.
9. Scouting for girls – This ain’t a love song – Annoyingly catchy with a touching message.
10. Eliza Doolittle – Pack up – This song always cheer me up when I’m feeling low.
11. Rihanna – Rude boy – Classic Rihanna, catchy, colourful and a little bit naughty.
12. Katy Perry – California girls – How fun was this song? Really fun is the answer.
13. Dizzy Rascal feat Florence and the Machine – You’ve got the dirtee love – I loved both of the original songs so merging them was just pure genius.
14. Plan B – She said – Stellar tune.
15. Katy B – On a mission – Great beat, that was nice to chill out to.
16. Ellie Goulding – Starry eyed – I love the verse when she sings “handlebars…” Don’t ask why.
17. Mike Posner – Cooler than me – Whenever this song comes on the radio, I HAVE to sing along.
18. The Pretty Reckless – Make me wanna die – Made me sing into my hair brush. A LOT.
19. K’naan – Wavin’ flag – A real feel good song.
20. My Darkest Days – Porn star dancing – Makes me feel like being bad.
