Battle of the Bloggers -I won second place

Thank you everyone who voted, I was and still am so touched by all the support. Normally losing feels like shit but thanks to everyone’s support, it doesn’t feel so bad. Hell it doesn’t really feel like I’ve lost…

However I did lose the Battle of the bloggers and of course I’m a little upset about it: I wanted to win.

I wanted to become a professional (even if it was temp) journalist/blogger for a big brand like ASOS. I didn’t care about the laptop; I just wanted the job to bolster my writing portfolio…

Oh well never mind, there’s a lot I wish I could say about the competition but I won’t. I don’t want to sound bitter or jealous. Besides I gave it my best shot and coming second is pretty damn impressive if you ask me.

Anyway I have a few thank you’s to say because without the help and support of these people I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I did.

Rob - My boyfriend, who encouraged me to join the competition to begin with and who was the first person to read my entry, your support has been priceless and your unwavering belief in my writing continues to drive me.

Matt - My best friend, my developer, my ice cream supplier; without him there wouldn’t be a Cat bitches. Your support and advice is priceless.

My Family (Marie, Jackie etc.) – I was really touched by the support: I know we don’t speak very often and I know I haven’t seen any of you in an AGE but it was nice to see that family was still there to help.

Aimee - For always being a shoulder to cry on, o.k. maybe more like an ear to bitch and moan to! Still your enthusiasm and encouragement mean a lot to me.

Hayley - Because I love how I can just be really bitchy with you and I know you won’t judge me for it.
